VIDEO AND AUDIO MONITORING: The approach to Digital Video Broadcast (DVB) monitoring is to analyze decrypted Single Program Transport Streams (SPTS) in IP UDP multicast streams. Being software and IP based, enables the system to easily be scalable and configurable. An easy to understand interface and reporting module enables shift staff to respond to technical problems without needing the technical expertise.
LOUDNESS MONITORING: The Digilant system will monitor all audio tracks on a continuous basis whether multiple language tracks, stereo or surround sound tracks. The audio can be visualized on the video wall and alarms are triggered when the audio is higher or lower than certain thresholds.
Electronic Program Guide Monitoring: The EPG monitoring product is an extension of the Digilant Video and Audio monitoring video wall. This product offers the capability to view extended EPG information on a condensed video wall. Off-air monitoring allows for stream analysis and is not STB dependant.
Gateway Monitoring: A monitoring application has been developed to monitor distributed DTH gateway installations. The software is capable of monitoring the bandwidth and continuity counters of UDP multicast streams. When preconfigured thresholds are reached notification emails are sent. The system can also be configured to report alerts to a centralized dashboard using Insite - A Infrastructure and Ticketing System.
File Manager: Media companies need to manage movement of very large files from system to system on a regular basis, at precise times. File Manager helps them to achieve this. It was designed specifically with media companies in mind, though it can be applied to any industry. It provides users with a sophisticated set of rules
Play out Scheduler: The engineers have developed an automated archiving and reporting tool. This system stores all off-air broadcasted transport streams to a network storage device in IP format. Information can easily and quickly be retrieved to report on all broadcasted activities.
The cost of storage comes at a premium and some regulators require the original content to be stored. The transmitted streams can be transcoded to use less space.
The content can be searched and retrieved instantly, despite the massive quantities of storage that may be used by a large organization.
Compliance Recording: By archiving and retrieving all broadcasted material quickly and easily streams can be stored and retrieved in its original broadcasted format or transcoded to a lower quality to reduce the required storage space.
